Saddle stirrups Vector

The Vector stirrups are a new generation of stirrups - technically advanced and lightweight, while maintaining the classic style expected from LeMieux. Manufactured from aerospace-grade aluminium, they provide an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making them lighter than most stirrups on the market at just 419g each, without compromising stability. The ergonomic control stirrup platform is inclined at 0° with a cross-grip surface and integrated hardened steel pins to offer maximum safety for the boot. The platform is supported by a dual-balance arch system that evenly distributes weight across the base of the stirrup frame. The apex of the frame is recessed and offset, encouraging an outward orientation of 45°, making it easier for the rider to find the optimal angle for the foot and retrieve a lost stirrup. An integrated articulated arm features a two-level release system, preventing accidental opening. The spring arm locks into the base of the main frame, meaning that when under maximum pressure, such as landing on a fence, the rider's weight is evenly distributed across the stirrup, preventing the outside from falling and flexing. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, the arm releases, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup, thus minimising the risk of being dragged. The release force of the stirrup arm = 36N (equivalent to 3.62kg) in tests, providing enough resistance to prevent unintended opening, but will release when necessary. It is important to note that no stirrup of this design (with a quick-release arm) is guaranteed to open 100% in the event of a fall. Many factors are involved, including a fall from the horse, a loose girth causing the saddle to slip, or a slow or unusual exit angle that may not generate enough lateral force to open the release arm. This is very rare, but users should be aware that no stirrup is completely foolproof in all eventualities. Legal for competition (FEI, British Dressage, British Eventing, and British Showjumping).
