With its matte black shell and brown or black leather finish, the Référence helmet is sleek and classic. Its timeless design enhances the comfort of a breathable helmet. This helmet meets European and American standards, allowing the rider to mount safely.
If out of stock, the lead time is 6 to 8 weeks for size L.

The Référence collection is the version of the helmet Antarès in its simplest and most discreet style. The shell is fully matte, with chrome details.

Personalisation of your Antarès helmet
If you wish, you can change the colours of the strap, headband, and triangle of this model to have a unique helmet. In its classic version, these elements are chrome. It's up to you to choose your helmet customisation colours according to your preferences! We have written a blog post on helmet personalisation to help you do it easily.

Composition of your Référence riding helmet

• The shell
  The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the impact energy across the helmet's surface. When your helmet strikes an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its great scratch resistance.
• The inner padding
  Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by retracting. The padding thus becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the effects of an impact on the padding, please check our blog article.
• The ventilation
  Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.
• The retention system
  The harness ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y shape of the fixation system has points that are further apart, reducing the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles are made of POM.
• A little extra: the Antarès harnesses are made from leather scraps from our custom saddles. Aesthetic and responsible!

• The helmet pads
  In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams allow a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adapt to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet’s hygiene. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and hand washable with lukewarm water.

The foams are sold with the helmet.

Our riding helmets are handcrafted in our workshop in Saintes. We present their creation process.

The cross visor
The short visor has been designed to meet the requirements of eventing riders on cross-country terrain and to protect the rider in case of a fall. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to restore its original shape.

The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and easily transporting your helmet. It is thoughtfully designed with a large central pocket and a big zip to make storing the helmet easy.
