Stirrups for riding Intego

Designed with our revolutionary dual-action technology, the PE Intego Duo Safety Stirrup allows the outside of the stirrup to open completely when activated. This helps to safely release the foot from the stirrup. The double closure hinge then returns to its original position, secured by the magnetic locking system. The release of this locking system is triggered when pressure is applied in the event of a lateral fall.

With a robust anti-slip (HD) profile, these stirrups are designed to perform in all conditions. Lightweight in construction, the Intego Duo safety stirrups are made from anodised aluminium for enhanced durability.

Instructions for use:

The stirrups have been labelled “L” and “R” to avoid misuse:

R=Right

L=Left

When in use, the L and R must face the rider. The PE logo should be visible when you’re in front of the horse.

When attaching the stirrups to the saddle, ensure that the opening arm is closest to the knee roll. The L and R will be facing outwards when the stirrups have been threaded onto the straps.

The opening arm should never be directed towards the horse's ribs.

Maintenance:

The Intego Duo safety stirrups have a 100% aluminium construction that has been anodised to protect against wear. We recommend cleaning the entire stirrup, including the safety mechanism, with hot water only.

It is important to check the opening mechanism before and after each ride and to remove any dirt and debris that may prevent the safety release from opening properly.

If the stirrups are stored on the saddle, we recommend using PE stirrup protectors to help prevent any damage.

Warnings:

The stirrups must be properly secured to the saddle for the safety mechanism to function correctly.

The dual-action arm retracts with force, so be careful when handling to avoid injury.

Do not disassemble.

Do not wear clothing or footwear that may interfere with the proper functioning of the stirrup.
