Pelham for horse Give your horse the control and responsiveness it deserves with the Pelham bit Jump'In, perfect for optimal balance.
This Pelham bit with long branches, featuring a fine flat mouthpiece of 20 mm, is designed to provide precise control while maintaining good stability in the mouth. It is aimed at riders looking for a clear contact and better responsiveness in hand movements, without overloading the horse's mouth.
The straight flat mouthpiece, with a reduced thickness (20 mm), ensures better clarity in the transmission of aids, while keeping a sufficient contact surface to remain comfortable for experienced or more advanced working horses.
Its 90° articulation allows for a slight dynamic inclination, which naturally follows the shape of the mouth and promotes better lateral mobility.
The Pelham is an excellent compromise between a snaffle and a bridle. It allows for a modifiable leverage effect based on the length of the branches, the adjustment of the curb chain, and the attachment of the reins. It encourages a neck flexion while applying controlled pressure on the jaw, making it a suitable choice for horses that need precise framing without resorting to a full bridle.
The long branches (7 cm) offer a greater leverage effect, particularly useful for powerful horses that are hard to balance or require more structured repositioning.
This bit can be used:
- with single reins (direct action, with or without converters),
- or with double reins (combined action: leverage + direct action).
The curb chain can be adjusted as needed and softened with leather, nylon, or covered models.
Maintenance tip: Rinse the bit thoroughly after each use to limit the buildup of residues and prevent discomfort for your horse.
